Job summary

Bright Minds’ national security integration client is hiring a Senior Security Specialist to support large-scale commercial security projects in the Phoenix market. You will serve as a technical lead in the field, providing hands-on installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting support while mentoring installers and junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on commercial security installation and programming experience.
• Strong access control programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience.
• Ability to independently commission an entire security system.
• Experience as Lead Technician, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• 1–2 manufacturer certifications in leading security platforms (Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, or similar).
• Experience with AMAG and/or Avigilon is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting across multiple enterprise security platforms.
• Excellent communication to lead and mentor field teams.
• Data center security experience preferred.
• Experience with Edwards/EST4 fire alarm systems is a plus.
• Additional manufacturer certifications across multiple platforms are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor installers and junior technicians on security integration projects.
• Serve as site lead or foreman coordinating technical work and project execution.
• Install, program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot access control and video surveillance systems.
• Independently commission complete security systems and verify proper operation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, wiring, communication, and programming issues.
• Work with platforms including Lenel, Genetec, Software House / CCURE, AMAG, Avigilon, Milestone, and other enterprise security systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to field teams throughout installation and commissioning.
• Partner with Project Managers to resolve technical issues and keep projects progressing according to schedule.
• Train and develop less experienced technicians on security systems, installation standards, programming, and troubleshooting.

Senior Security Specialist - Physical Security Solutions

Bright Minds' national security integration client is hiring a Senior Security Specialist to support large-scale commercial security projects throughout the Phoenix market.

In this role, you'll serve as a technical lead in the field, providing hands-on installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting support while leading and mentoring installers and junior technicians. You'll work across complex access control, video surveillance, and integrated security systems while helping ensure projects are completed successfully from installation through final commissioning.

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial security technician with strong access control programming and commissioning experience, manufacturer certifications, and a background leading technicians in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor installers and junior technicians on commercial security integration projects.
• Serve as a site lead or foreman while coordinating technical work and supporting overall project execution.

Requirements:

• Several years of hands‑on commercial security system installation and programming experience.
• Strong access control programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience.
• Ability to independently commission an entire security system.
• Previous experience serving as a Lead Technician, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• At least 1-2 manufacturer certifications in leading security or access control platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House / CCURE, or similar systems.
• Experience with AMAG and/or Avigilon highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across multiple electronic security platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and support technical teams.
• Data center security experience preferred.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, particularly Edwards/EST4, is a plus.
• Additional manufacturer certifications across multiple security platforms are highly preferred.
