Security Systems Integration Specialist (Access Control & Physical Security)
Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a Security Systems Integration Specialist to support enterprise-wide physical security initiatives across a large and complex corporate environment. This role serves as the bridge between field security installation teams, security integrators, and the Access Control Office, ensuring that physical security systems are properly configured, integrated, and maintained within enterprise monitoring platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial access control systems, video management systems, and physical security integrations. This is a highly visible role requiring someone who is comfortable working independently, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, solving technical problems, and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
This is a field-based position with significant travel. The successful candidate will serve as an onsite liaison between project teams and security operations, helping ensure field deployments are properly commissioned, configured, documented, and integrated into the Client's enterprise security ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary onsite liaison between Client security teams, contractors, integrators, and project stakeholders.
- Support deployment and integration of enterprise physical security systems across multiple facilities.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot access control and video surveillance systems.
- Validate field installations and ensure devices are properly integrated into enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Coordinate with installers and security integrators during construction, upgrade, and maintenance projects.
- Assist with data migration, device onboarding, and system configuration efforts.
- Support enterprise monitoring and security management platforms that consolidate alarm, access control, and video systems into a single operational view.
- Review system configurations and identify discrepancies between field installations and enterprise standards.
- Interpret construction drawings, access control layouts, wiring diagrams, and security system documentation.
- Document configurations, installations, system changes, and project updates.
- Work closely with internal security operations personnel to ensure successful transition of sites into production monitoring environments.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system issues.
- Support project tracking, field coordination, and light project management activities.
- Ensure compliance with Client safety requirements and jobsite procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting commercial physical security systems.

- Experience supporting video surveillance and security monitoring systems.
- Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting network-connected security devices.
- Familiarity with card readers, security cameras, access control panels, and related physical security equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a commercial security integrator or security installation organization.
- Background in access control system migrations and security platform deployments.
- Familiarity with Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems.
- Experience with video management solutions such as Genetec Security Center, Avigilon, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to SQL queries and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise Security Operations Centers (SOC) or Command Centers.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Utility, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Previous experience coordinating field activities, vendors, and project schedules.
- Field-based role with approximately 50-75% travel.
- Frequent onsite presence at operating facilities, project locations, and construction environments.
- Extensive walking and time spent in active jobsite environments.
- PPE required and adherence to all site-specific safety standards.
- Regular interaction with contractors, project managers, technicians, and security personnel.
- Must be comfortable working in industrial, commercial, and construction settings.
