ETAS Inc. in Paducah, KY has an opening for a Senior Security Specialist (Direct Hire). You will report to the Safeguards and Security Manager and support DOE/PPPO security tasks at the Paducah site.

The role involves reviewing submittals, conducting S&S assessments, coordinating with stakeholders, managing badge actions, and maintaining security operations across renovations and DOE orders. Candidates should have extensive DOE/DoD security experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of DOE/DoD-related security programs experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Experience with contractor program oversight and contract execution and related tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Overview

Enterprise Technical Assistance Services, Inc. (ETAS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Professional Project Services, Inc. (Pro2Serve). E-TAS supports the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) with technical and management services to contribute to the safe and cost-effective implementation of the “One PPPO” mission.

The parent company, Pro2Serve, is a nationally recognized environmental, technical, and engineering services firm providing critical environmental management services to reduce the Nation’s environmental liabilities and supporting infrastructure engineering, nuclear defense, and nonproliferation projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate from the Paducah site and assume a variety of roles and responsibilities.
• Report to the Safeguards and Security Manager; review submittals, program assessments, and coordinate Safeguards and Security (S&S) activities.
• Develop draft response communications to DOE contractors and stakeholders.
• Conduct Safeguards and Security Assessments in all S&S areas.
• Complete routine data entry on SSIMS and USSIMS systems.
• Conduct personnel badge actions in coordination with site personnel security offices.
• Oversee security aspects of facility renovations and upgrades.
• Investigate and handle Issues of Security Concern (IOSCs).
• Maintain POC relationships with Local Emergency Response Agencies.
• Ensure PAP testing is maintained in accordance with PPPO Performance Assurance Plan and DOE Orders.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited university is desired. 11+ years of DOE/DoD-related security programs experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Experience with contractor program oversight and contract execution and related tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Demonstrates professionalism in the production of deliverables and interactions with colleagues and client personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in S&S issues in a D&D environment.
• Proficiency in performing DOE Safeguards and Security tasks related to Program Planning and Management (Planning and Procedures; Physical Protection; Information Security; Personnel Security; Foreign Visits and Assignments).
• Experience with performing DOE Assessments, Surveys, Corrective Action Plans, and Survey & Comprehensive Self-Assessment Report development.

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. It may require reviews and testing for absence of illegal drugs and a background investigation by the Federal government to obtain access authorization prior to employment, with potential reinvestigations.
