Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Senior security engineer (IC4) embedded in the v0 team in San Francisco. You will own security end-to-end for the product, including sandboxing, isolation, and threat modeling, working as a peer engineer alongside developers.

You will review every new feature for security considerations, handle HackerOne reports, and set security standards that balance fast shipping with robust defenses. This is a hands-on role requiring strong coding skills and independent judgment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production web applications.
• Strong full-stack skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.
• Demonstrated security judgment across auth, isolation, and secure coding.
• Ability to influence through code and own end-to-end features.
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving security-focused product.
• Willing to build with v0 and understand product end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own security end-to-end for v0, including threat modeling and risk reduction.
• Implement security features directly in the product and sandboxing controls.
• Review new features and launches for security implications before release.
• Manage HackerOne reports for v0 and coordinate remediation with researchers.
• Define and evolve v0 threat model, sandboxing, and permission boundaries.
• Collaborate with Product Security and other teams on SDLC tooling.
