SailPoint is seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer to build robust security tools and middleware, bridging diverse security stacks with API-first integrations. You will create scalable solutions, automate deployment, and advance the enterprise security posture.

You will collaborate across Security Operations, IT, and Engineering, ensuring secure coding practices while operating in a fast-paced environment, remote or in Austin, TX. This role emphasizes innovation, integrity, and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or security automation.
• Experience building internal tools or cybersecurity integrations.
• Proficiency with API-first architectures and security tooling.
• Hands-on with OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, and integration layers.
• Experience hosting tooling in AWS with serverless or containers.
• Understanding IAM, Zero Trust, and MAM/MDM.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust security tools, middleware, and automation scripts.
• Leverage API methodologies to enable automated enforcement and telemetry sharing.
• Identify gaps in vendor capabilities and build custom software to close them.
• Design intuitive UIs and dashboards for internal security tools.
• Build automated deployment pipelines for security controls and SOAR workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security policies into automated solutions.
• Ensure all development meets SSDLC and security/compliance standards.
