Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer to build advanced integrations across identity, security, and enterprise apps. You will bridge diverse security stacks with custom code, middleware, and tool-agnostic data flows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, security automation, or advanced DevOps focused on internal tools or cybersecurity integrations.
• Full-stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) to build responsive web apps and backend services.
• Expert-level proficiency in languages for API integration and automation (Python, Go, Node.js).
• Experience with complex APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, and tool-agnostic integration layers.
• Cloud hosting (preferably AWS) with serverless (Lambda) or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong IAM, Zero Trust, and Endpoint/Mobile Security concepts.
• CI/CD release automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Terraform IaC, and secure debugging.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable custom security tools, middleware, and automation scripts integrating security platforms.
• Create tool-agnostic data flows using REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks for automated enforcement and telemetry sharing.
• Build resilient custom software to close gaps in vendor capabilities and complex access workflows.
• Design intuitive UIs and dashboards for security tools used by Security Operations and business teams.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines for security controls, SOAR playbooks, and continuous monitoring.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate policies into automated, code-driven solutions.
• Ensure development meets SSDLC and compliance standards (ISO, NIST, SOX).
