Job summary

CrowdStrike is actively seeking a Security Researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and contribute to adversary tracking. You will work with the Intelligence team on reverse engineering, exploit analysis, and detection signature development, while publishing actionable threat intelligence.

Location is remote in the United States, with possible travel. The role emphasizes defensive research, collaboration across teams, and clear technical writing for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in user-space and kernel-level exploits.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with standard web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools (disassemblers, debuggers, decompilers).
• Programming/scripting in Python.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research and exploit analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present complex technical results to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable mitigation guidance.
• Brief complex analyses to varied audiences and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across teams to support exploit mitigation strategies and products.
• Develop signatures and automation to improve detection and hunting of exploits.
