Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Security Technology and Programs department in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on advancing security capital projects across all lifecycles, coordinating with Engineering, Project Delivery, and Security teams.

Responsibilities include scoping, budgeting, and scheduling, with site visits and stakeholder presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project and program management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating design efforts and construction activities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
• Ability to meet all performance and attendance standards and have completed all probationary periods.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a workload including physical security projects, security technology projects, and security reviews of Line Department and Tenant Construction projects.
• Manage projects through all stages from inception to closeout and maintain momentum.
• Participate in site visits at Port Authority facilities as required.
• Establish scope, budget, and timeframe for new and planned projects.
• Prepare authorization documents and presentations to secure budget authorizations and contract awards.
• Lead an integrated project team across Engineering Design, Project Delivery, and Construction Management units.
