Job summary

The Bureau of Naval Personnel in Annapolis, MD is seeking a civilian security specialist to serve as the expert on all aspects of the Information Security and Personnel Security Programs in accordance with applicable laws and DoD directives. You will develop and implement security procedures for safeguarding classified and controlled unclassified information and oversee the marking of official documents.

• Specialized experience must be demonstrated on resume.
• Experience applying security policy, procedures, and methods to varied work scenarios.
• Experience in physical security, anti-terrorism, and law enforcement principles.
• Experience coordinating with civilian staff to execute security tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert on Information Security Program and Personnel Security Program per laws and DoD directives.
• Develop written security procedures for safeguarding and handling classified information.
• Coordinate the security awareness and education program for the command, including midshipmen.
• Ensure personnel security investigations, clearances, and accesses are recorded in DISS, NBIS, and bases.
• Collaborate with Administrative offices to manage Information and Personnel Security Programs.
