Job summary

The Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations seeks a Security Specialist in the Security Branch to safeguard information and personnel within the Navy's security program. This federal role requires demonstrated expertise at the GS-11 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities include applying security policies, supporting inspections, and coordinating with DISS/NBIS systems to maintain a robust security posture.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of specialized Federal service experience at GS-11 or equivalent.
• Familiarity with personnel vetting systems (DISS/NBIS).
• Experience with industrial security concepts including DD Form 254s and DoW contracts.
• Ability to participate in internal security inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal inspections as part of the OPNAV Security Inspection Team.
• Support security program administration and policy implementation.
• Coordinate with DISS/NBIS to maintain personnel vetting accuracy.
