Electronic Arts seeks a Senior Security Software Engineer II to shape and deliver cross-team security platforms and services. You’ll own large initiatives spanning multiple teams, drive pragmatic architecture, and elevate developer experience while ensuring reliability and security at scale.

You will operate across languages and stacks, lead design reviews, and mentor senior engineers to raise the technical bar. This role emphasizes collaboration with EA teams to build secure, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Track record delivering complex technical initiatives across multiple teams or domains.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; proficient in at least one modern language and able to work across others.
• Experience across a polyglot stack: Node.js, .NET, Rust, PHP.
• Proven ability to design or evolve platform-level systems or shared infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles, observability, SLIs/SLOs, incident management.
• Experience improving developer productivity through automation and tooling.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automated pipelines.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive large cross-cutting technical initiatives across teams and domains.
• Define and break down ambiguous problems into practical, high-impact solutions.
• Design and evolve internal platforms and shared services for scalability and reliability.
• Establish engineering patterns in system design and observability.
• Lead architectural decisions balancing performance, reliability, cost, and delivery speed.
• Contribute to critical system components requiring deep technical expertise.
• Improve production operations, monitoring, incident response, and reliability.
• Influence technical direction through reviews, collaboration, and hands-on leadership.
• Mentor engineers at multiple levels to raise technical standards.
• Partner with teams to reduce friction via better platform design and tooling.
