Job summary

Equinox seeks a senior security/platform engineer to own cloud security, SIEM operations, and incident response across our hybrid environments. You will lead detection engineering, SOC investigations, and identity governance while collaborating with product and engineering teams to embed secure coding practices.

You will influence AI/ML security controls, vendor risk, and incident response playbooks to protect Equinox's digital product ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering in multi‑account cloud environments.
• Strong Terraform/IaC experience with shared modules.
• Experience operating a SIEM platform (Elastic Security) — log ingestion, detection, alerting.
• Solid networking fundamentals: load balancers, security groups, WAF, DNS, CDN.
• Experience with identity providers (Entra ID/Azure AD, Okta) and authentication/authorization concepts.
• Leadership or heavy contribution to security incident response.
• Familiar with web/mobile/backend stacks (React Native/React Web, Node.js, Java/Spring, Python/Flask) and secure coding practices.
• Experience with SAST/SCA tooling and integrating security scanning into CI/CD.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM security concepts and securing AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Elastic Security end-to-end: cluster upgrades, agent management, log pipelines.
• Design, build, and tune detection rules and alerting workflows.
• Lead SOC investigations and incident response activities and mentoring.
• Oversee identity governance initiatives and access management improvements.
• Embed security requirements into SDLC — secure coding standards and CI/CD scanning.
• Drive security posture for AI/ML systems and integrations.
