Job summary

Equinox is redefining luxury wellness with elevated spaces and a culture of excellence. We seek a Senior Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, security operations, and SIEM across environments, serving as a primary escalation point for platform reliability and security incidents.

You will lead incident response, manage IAM/secrets, and integrate CSPM/SIEM tools, while mentoring SOC analysts and collaborating with engineering teams to secure React/Node/Python stacks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering with multi-account cloud ownership.
• Strong Terraform/IaC experience, including shared modules.
• Experience operating a SIEM platform (Elastic Security) for logs, detections, and alerts.
• Solid networking fundamentals: load balancers, security groups, WAF, DNS, CDN.
• Experience with identity providers (Entra ID/Azure AD, Okta) and SSO concepts.
• Led or contributed to security incident response and escalation.
• Hands-on escalation across multiple teams and security domains.
• Security practices across modern web/mobile/backend stacks and CI/CD security.
• Cloud platform familiarity across AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Knowledge of payments security concepts and fraud risk tooling.
• Container orchestration experience (ECS or similar).
• Mentoring SOC analysts or junior engineers.
• Familiarity with CSPM/vulnerability tooling (Wiz, CrowdStrike).
• Code review and secure coding awareness (React Native/Web, Node.js, Java, Python).
• SAST/SCA tooling and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate IaC across cloud providers and shared modules.
• Manage IAM users, keys, and secrets lifecycle.
• Diagnose production networking/infrastructure issues (LBs, SGs, WAF, DNS, CDN).
• Administer access across platforms (AWS, GCP, GitHub, etc.).
• Evaluate/integrate third-party platform/security tooling (CSPM, SAST/SCA).
• Support CI/CD pipelines and fix build/deploy failures.
• Own Elastic Security SIEM end-to-end: upgrades, agents, logs.
• Design/detect rules and alerting; integrate SIEM with Slack channels.
• Improve signal quality; reduce false positives; maintain logging docs.
• Provide technical leadership for the SOC and mentor analysts.
• Lead investigations into anomalous auth, account compromise, and network anomalies.
• Develop incident response runbooks and documentation.
• Maintain AI/ML security posture; manage access controls for models.
• Coordinate remediation across teams and drive secure coding practices.
