Job summary

PNC seeks an experienced Security Specialist to join the Technology organization. The role focuses on building and tuning security monitoring, detections, and alerting within the SOC, while leading improvement initiatives to bolster detection, response, and overall security capabilities.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop playbooks, ensure regulatory alignment, and contribute to risk mitigation with strong collaboration across teams. This is an in-office role with a broad geographic base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; 5+ years in information security roles.
• Experience with security operations and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop, tune, and maintain security monitoring content, detections, and alerting in SOC.
• Lead security improvement initiatives to strengthen detection and response capabilities.
• Create, maintain, and improve threat hunting procedures, playbooks, and docs.
