The position emphasizes automation, on-call coverage, and the refinement of SOC processes to align with regulatory requirements and Pearson standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response, and detection engineering (4+ years).
• Experience with regulated environments or government clients is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SOC operations including incident detection, triage, containment, and RCA.
• Develop and automate detection logic, playbooks, and response workflows.
• Improve SOC processes and adapt to evolving threat landscapes.
• Collaborate with threat intel to integrate TTPs into SOC operations.
• Provide executive-level reporting, risk assessments, and metrics.
