Job summary

K&L Gates LLP is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Operations in the United States to oversee cyber security, forensics, incident response, and physical security across the firm. You will implement monitoring technologies, incident response systems, and a comprehensive security strategy to meet business needs within time and budget constraints.

The role requires coordinating with IT leadership, managing SIEM, and leading a remote security team to ensure robust data protection and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information security, cybersecurity or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in DevSecOps security principles and industry best practices.
• Experience in security automation and using Generative AI to enhance security operations.
• Ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the firm.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• 10+ years in IT audit, enterprise risk management, pen testing, red teaming, IR and physical security operations.
• 10+ years in regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS 800-171).
• Proven track record leading remote teams including performance management and development.

Responsibilities

• Implement network monitoring and intrusion detection using firewalls, IDS/IPS, and host-based systems.
• Perform log-based and endpoint threat detection to safeguard against risks.
• Deploy cloud-based detection for cloud environments and firm services.
• Correlate activity across endpoints, networks, apps, on-prem and cloud to detect anomalies.
• Review alerts and document formal incident reports.
• Provide incident response support with containment and forensic coordination.
• Assist in business continuity/disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Work with SIEM to manage and tune detection content and alerts.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid incident identification.
• Conduct regular training on IDS/IPS, IR procedures, threat intelligence and log analysis.
