Your Impact

As a Senior Operations Engineer II, you'll ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure, solving complex problems, automating processes, and supporting our services as they grow. Your work will directly impact uptime, efficiency, and the developer experience, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality mission-critical systems swiftly.

What You'll Do

Location: Work from home as much as you want, or collaborate in person at our US R&D Hubs (Seattle, Scottsdale, Atlanta, Boston).

Reports to: Manager, InfoSec Engineering

Direct Reports: None

  1. Improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable code delivery.
  2. Write, review, and deploy infrastructure-as-code for scalable deployments.
  3. Monitor system performance and address issues proactively.
  4. Respond to incidents, find root causes, and implement fixes.
  5. Collaborate with developers on features, services, and infrastructure needs.
  6. Enhance logging, metrics, and monitoring for better observability.
  7. Review alerts, tune thresholds, and reduce noise.
  8. Update runbooks, documentation, and internal tools.
  9. Build and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure.
  10. Troubleshoot complex operational issues across environments.
  11. Improve deployment workflows to reduce downtime.
  12. Lead security architecture and infrastructure design, ensuring compliance.
  13. Participate in on-call, incident response, and postmortem processes for continuous improvement.
  14. Collaborate across teams to meet fast development cycles.
  15. Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code efforts.
  16. Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools.
  17. Document systems, processes, and best practices.
What You Bring
  • At least 7 years in security operations or incident response roles.
  • Experience building solutions for complex security problems.
  • Experience with detection rules, use cases, and automation workflows.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security technologies (SIEM, EDR/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, threat intel platforms).
  • Experience with SaaS environments on AWS or Azure.
