Job Description

1. Lead Security Efforts on the Platform: Drive security solutions across AWS, container security, CICD, ensuring compliance with standards like PCI-DSS, ISO27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-53, and COPPA.
2. Enhance Secure CI/CD: Build security capabilities in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, templates, and automation for rapid, secure deployment.
3. Standardize Secure Patterns: Design reusable patterns promoting security best practices and compliance.
4. Advance Secure Software Delivery: Embed security in build and design phases, emphasizing feedback, observability, and operational excellence.
5. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with SecOps, platform, and engineering teams to align security goals.
6. Strengthen Security Posture: Assess and improve security standards to reduce vulnerabilities.
7. Drive Compliance Automation: Develop automation for regulatory controls and continuous compliance.
8. Support Incident Response: Monitor, respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend mitigations.
9. Leverage Key Tools and Skills: Use AWS, Terraform, Python to develop secure, balanced solutions.
10. Communicate Effectively: Provide security updates, document solutions, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• 3-5+ years AWS security experience
• Minimum 4 years managing Linux systems
• 2+ years security automation and tooling (SEIM, SAST/DAST, etc.)
• 2+ years Python scripting for security
• Experience with Git and GitOps
• Web security knowledge (DNS, firewalls, APIs, databases)
• Cloud security implementation and monitoring
• Strong communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and solution delivery

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO27001)
• AWS certifications (Security – Specialty, Solutions Architect)
• Experience with WAFs and logging stacks
• DevSecOps practices and pipeline integration
• Terraform or CloudFormation experience
• Mentoring security engineers
• Container security understanding (Docker, Kubernetes)

This position is fully remote, contributing from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, typically your residence.
