Job summary

HKS Architects seeks an experienced security leader to manage threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability remediation. You will develop security standards, deliver executive reports, and mentor a team across IT.

Strong collaboration with architecture and operations is essential to improve overall security posture. The role requires a background in CS or related fields with advanced security certs and 6+ years in cyber security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced information security certifications required (CISSP, CISM, CASP+, CySA+, CCSP).
• Typically 6+ years of cybersecurity incident response experience.
• Advanced experience across layers of the OSI model and security tooling.
• Experience with SIEM, Microsoft 365/Microsoft Azure, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operation standards and controls across monitoring, detection and incident response.
• Develop and drive a vulnerability management program and threat remediation.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and remediation reporting.
• Create executive security reports and maintain dashboards/metrics.
• Mentor junior engineers in incident handling and security awareness.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture and implementation.
• Conduct security reviews and audits of IT projects and initiatives.
