Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Officer 3 to join our protective services team in Texas. You will lead static post duties, develop training, and perform risk assessments to safeguard critical facilities.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in security/military settings, 1+ year in executive protection or emergency response, and readiness to obtain necessary licenses. FAA drone license and clearance eligibility are required; travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security.
• 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience.
• ITAR/ITAR compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency and awareness of static guard post duties.
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers.
• Conduct advanced research and analysis in support of SpaceX security missions.
• Conduct and review risk assessments of critical SpaceX facilities.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide on-scene leadership to others.
• Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations.
• Learn advanced skillsets including EMT, investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, security hardware.
• Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders and key stakeholders in space industry.
