Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager, Security to lead a broad security program protecting people and assets. You will coordinate Contracted Guard Force, Physical Security, Automated Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems while staying compliant with laws and regulations.

You will guide security operations, advise senior management, and drive risk mitigation across multiple sites, with a focus on proactive, strategic security leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in the field of security.
• 5+ years of security management experience supervising and directing staff across a wide range of operating functions
• Experience with ITAR

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the overall strategy for site security, aligning it with SpaceX’s business objectives
• Become the trusted security advisor to senior management and leaders across the organization through high-level communication and excellent briefing skills
• Establish procedures and protocols to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps
• Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; ensure that all team members understand and comply with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Identify, prioritize, develop, and implement security measures, emergency preparedness and response plans, and security protocols and strategies
• Participate in local, state, and federal working or advisory groups to stay updated on security-related information
• Maintain security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Assess systems, alarms, and other physical security measures for effectiveness
• Make effective decisions in both routine and crisis situations
• Take personal initiative in developing efficient work processes
• Address and resolve security issues promptly, effectively, and independently
