Job summary

Metro Fire + Security, Arizona's full-service fire protection company, is seeking a Lead Installation Security Technician. The role focuses on installing and replacing alarm, access control, and IP camera systems while leading a crew on larger projects.

You will read wiring diagrams, coordinate with customers, ensure safety compliance, and mentor junior technicians. Travel to multiple sites and after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years security technician work experience.
• Commercial security installation & servicing experience.
• Able to travel to multiple job sites each day.
• Fully proficient in alarm, access control and IP camera systems.
• Access control installation and servicing experience – knowledge in S2 and Brivo.
• Experience with installation of controller, reader, contact, REX and electrified door hardware.
• Camera system installation & servicing experience, including network camera systems – knowledge in Exacq, Wave VMS a plus.
• CAT5/6 network termination skills.
• High precision/ detail-oriented.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• Ability to lead a team on larger jobs.
• Alarm Agent License
• DPS Fingerprint Card

Responsibilities

• Install security systems per provided job scopes and drawings
• Install and service access control systems
• Install and service IP based camera systems
• Install and service alarm systems
• Work efficiently as a lead technician on the team to install systems
• Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Effectively communicate equipment issues and potential solutions on work performed to customers
• Explain and train customers on effective utilization of equipment and/ or systems
• Efficiently and accurately update and complete customer files, including but not limited to customer contacts, work orders, parts utilized, and work performed
• Promptly and professionally respond to customer questions and concerns
• Understand and maintain compliance with company and customer safety program
• Maintain all applicable certifications for necessary products serviced by company
• Ability to lead, train, mentor and/ or coach less experienced technicians
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required
