The role involves fixed-posts, mobile patrols, and vigilant observation to enforce post orders, facility rules, and protocols. You will conduct regular building and perimeter patrols, monitor alarms, control access, log movements, and respond to incidents in coordination with supervisors and local authorities as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years security/civilian law enforcement experience or equivalent military service.
One year of work experience following directions and meeting attendance requirements.
State Armed Security Guard license required.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written).
Must pass criminal background screen, drug test, and physical exam.

Responsibilities

Keep supervisors and managers informed of unusual occurrences and important events.
Monitor alarms, radio traffic and information sources; dispatch or inform others as needed.
Report and address alarms, thefts, threats, and other incidents per post orders and protocols.
Stop, screen, and inspect vehicles and pedestrians entering/exiting the facility.
Escort individuals or vehicles per post orders and protocols.
Use communication devices per established rules.
Log and monitor property and equipment movements.
Ensure security of government property and report any loss or damage.
