Job summary

Envestnet is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Governance professional to strengthen security governance, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance across the organization. You will work with Security Operations, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to implement controls that protect client data and meet industry standards.

The role focuses on risk-based decision making, policy development, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure enterprise posture and support AI governance

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated financial services environment with cybersecurity controls and data protection.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST AI RMF, SOC 1/2, CIS Controls, SEC Reg S-P, privacy requirements.
• Strong cross-functional communication, analytical skills, and ability to translate risk concepts for varied audiences.
• Experience with AI governance and risk management in software development.

Responsibilities

• Provide security governance support companywide and advise on risk posture.
• Develop, validate, implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security controls are understood and managed.
• Lead insider risk programs, investigations, and risk assessments in partnership with Legal, HR and Compliance.
• Translate regulatory/framework requirements into practical control assessments and audit-ready evidence.
• Develop security awareness content and training; monitor metrics for continuous improvement.
• Assess AI/ML systems and AI governance risks across the software lifecycle.
