Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to design, implement, and support our security stack across cloud and on‑premises environments. You will mentor teams, document procedures, and collaborate with IT and business units to strengthen our security posture.

The role requires hands‑on expertise with SIEM, EDR, cloud security, and automation, plus the ability to communicate complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations, incident response, and threat detection.
• Experience with SIEM platforms for log analysis and alerting.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud security and automation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and support Jazz Pharmaceuticals information security stack.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering and operation documentation.
• Mentor security engineering and operation teams.
• Lead initiatives to maintain a strong security posture.
• Direct deployment and upgrades of security technologies.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
• Monitor external sources for threats and advise teams.
• Analyze attack vectors and detection techniques.
• Foster relationships with broader IT and business units.
• Monitor event queues for anomalies and incidents.
• Improve security posture across endpoints, network, apps, servers.
• Drive automation to improve monitoring and response.
• Provide hands‑on security consulting during design, development, and testing.
