Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Application Security team. This role focuses on embedding security into the software lifecycle, from code to production, with a shift-left approach and AI-enabled development workflows.

As a security engineering leader, you will design guardrails, configure enterprise security gates, and drive remediation workflows while mentoring developers and establishing secure-by-default practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 7+ years in information security and risk management.
• Experience with CI/CD security and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and enforcement of shift-left security controls.
• Embed security across SDLC with AI workflows and CI/CD gates.
• Develop security-as-code policies and governance for AI tooling.
• Provide security guidance to engineering teams and training.
