Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Application Security team. You will shape how security is built into software, embedding security early in the SDLC and collaborating with engineering teams to prevent vulnerabilities before they happen.

You will lead guardrail design, enforce pipeline security, and drive KPI-driven risk reduction across AI-enabled development, with a focus on secure-by-default AI tooling and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience with secure SDLC and secure AI development.
• Familiarity with security automation and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to define requirements, deliverables and timelines.
• Develop and enforce security gates across the SDLC.
• Monitor and report on security posture and KPIs.
• Assist with threat modeling and security reviews for AI-enabled apps.
• Provide hands-on guidance and remediation recommendations.
