Job summary

Weave Robotics builds robots for home use, integrating cameras, sensors, and cloud services. This Senior Security Engineer role focuses on securing embedded devices, firmware, and cloud infrastructure while shaping long‑term security strategy.

You will work hands‑on with engineers to threat‑model, find vulnerabilities, design secure architectures, and ship fixes for robots already deployed in real homes and businesses.

Qualifications

• Security of connected products and robotics across hardware, firmware, embedded Linux, networks, cloud and apps.
• Linux security boundaries, processes, permissions, containers, hardening, privilege escalation.

Responsibilities

• Own product security architecture for robots, apps, backend services and infrastructure.
• Lead threat modeling and security reviews for new hardware/software capabilities; identify attack surfaces and mitigations.
• Secure device identity, boot/update chains, firmware, embedded Linux, and hardware interfaces.
• Secure cloud infra, APIs, authentication, web/mobile apps; mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Perform code reviews, pen tests, vulnerability research, automated tooling for security testing.
• Build logging, monitoring, detection and incident-response capabilities to rapidly handle security events.
