Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to assess and mitigate risk across applications, systems, and platforms.

You will partner with IT and engineering to provide security design guidance and develop tooling to enhance processes. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant security experience, strong network security analysis skills, and familiarity with malware and vulnerability identification in a secure deployment of IaaS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of relevant security experience.
• Experience in network security analysis or intrusion management.
• Knowledge of malware and vulnerability identification and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and mitigate risk for Akamai's systems and applications.
• Provide security design guidance across IT and engineering teams.
• Develop scripts/tools to support security operations.
• Document guidelines and policies per NIST 800-53/800-171.
• Support security investigations and enforcement in FedRAMP/CMMC contexts.
