Job summary

Truist Financial is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to evolve and sustain the enterprise secure access platform, focusing on AI-driven workloads, cloud-native architectures, and threat intelligence. The role emphasizes traffic control, policy enforcement, and automation to improve visibility, security posture, and scalability across the organization.

The position is onsite, 5 days a week, in Truist core locations including Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte/Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Deep specialized knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Deep knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise secure access platform.
• Design and govern traffic steering strategies for proxy, bypass, and direct-to-cloud patterns.
• Drive adoption of advanced security capabilities to modernize the platform.
• Evaluate, test, and integrate new security features and technologies via POC/POV.
• Architect and implement automation to eliminate manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Develop automation and policy-as-code approaches for configuration management.
