Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a seasoned Security Engineer to design and implement cybersecurity solutions that protect critical assets within the job area, contributing to technical design and implementation approaches while following established strategies and patterns.

You will perform threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing, integrate and configure security technologies in production, act as escalation point, coach teammates, and lead significant security workstreams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work‑related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Advanced knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Advanced knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements cybersecurity solutions following strategies and patterns.
• Performs threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Integrates information security technologies in production environments.
• Acts as technical escalation point and develops practical fixes.
• Leads security engineering workstreams and reviews outputs for quality.
