Addison Group in Arlington, TX, seeks a Senior Security Engineer to shape and implement the organization’s cybersecurity architecture. This hands-on role will assess security gaps, build protective systems, respond to incidents, and guide IT teams on secure practices.

The candidate will bring 6–10 years of cybersecurity engineering experience, a strong security-architecture background, and hands-on work with SIEM, DLP, and IPS technologies, in an on-site role with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Strong security architecture background and proven design skills.
• Experience implementing SIEM, DLP, and IPS technologies.
• Solid networking, server, and storage security knowledge.
• Ability to lead technical decisions and mentor colleagues.
• A degree or security certification is a plus; relevant experience prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security solutions that support business needs and compliance requirements.
• Assess the current environment, identify vulnerabilities, and propose improvements.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Build and support security capabilities using SIEM, DLP, IPS, and related tools.
• Monitor security systems, manage access provisioning, and investigate incidents.
• Provide on-call support to resolve urgent production security issues.
• Guide other IT professionals on secure practices and cybersecurity initiatives.
