Job summary
Amazon Leo Security is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Leo Infrastructure and IP Security team. You’ll own platform architecture, build distributed systems, and drive automation and secure operations in a high-consequence environment.
You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and collaborate with scientists to productionize research while maintaining reliability and observability across services in a global constellation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming in at least one software language.
- 5+ years leading design/architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience mentoring, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience with performance optimization and multi-threading.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture decisions across the platform, ensuring security and scalability.
- Design and build distributed systems with telemetry ingestion and real-time processing.
- Drive automation, backtesting infrastructure, and deployment guardrails.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and set code quality standards.
- Operate what you build, ensuring reliability and incident response.
