Job summary

AGS - American Gaming Systems is seeking a Senior Security Engineer in Atlanta to join the security team. You will implement and maintain enterprise security controls across on-prem and cloud environments, aligning with the security program strategy and standards.

You will lead hands-on delivery, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with IT operations, compliance, and business units to enable secure operations while balancing user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on enterprise security experience in hybrid environments.
• Hands-on delivery in IAM, SIEM/detection, or threat/vulnerability management.
• Experience producing security metrics for management review.
• Experience documenting procedures and implementing controls per major frameworks.
• Familiarity with incident response, forensics, and vulnerability management.
• Experience supporting external audits/regulatory assessments.
• Ability to work independently and balance security with business enablement.
• Preferred: gaming/regulatory industry background.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CySA+, GIAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute enterprise security program roadmap and risk decisions.
• Lead technical delivery of security initiatives; plan sequencing and hands-on implementation.
• Advance IAM across hybrid environments including CA configuration.
• Administer identity governance: lifecycle, MFA, self-service reset, app registrations.
• Implement privileged access management and reduce standing admin rights.
• Apply RBAC/ABAC and expand SSO/federation across apps.
• Engineer and expand SIEM and log management platform usage.
• Develop and tune detection content, rules, and alerting logic.
• Build automated triage, enrichment, containment workflows.
• Lead vulnerability management: scanning, prioritization, remediation.
• Coordinate remediation with IT ops; track SLAs and risk reduction.
• Develop playbooks and runbooks; participate in exercises.
• Occasional travel across the United States.
