Job summary

Inception is hiring a hands-on Security Engineer to build the security foundation for a frontier AI platform serving enterprise customers. You will own product/API security, security architecture, compliance readiness, and incident response as the company scales.

This senior/staff-level role requires 6+ years of hands-on experience, ability to lead security initiatives, write production code, and partner with engineering teams to improve velocity while maintaining strong security postures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience or equivalent staff-level depth.
• Experience building security for enterprise-facing products, APIs, infrastructure.
• Hands-on product/API security for customer-facing APIs.
• Led or owned SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Own API/product security and security architecture for enterprise deployments.
• Lead compliance and certifications including SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001.
• Manage incident response, security monitoring, and privacy controls.
• Build secure infrastructure and tooling with engineering teams to raise baseline.
