Job summary

Anthropic seeks a senior Security Engineer in Washington to drive endpoint hardening, identity governance, and automation. You will set technical direction and ship tooling, balancing security with user workflows as the team scales with the company.

You’ll partner with IT and Engineering on telemetry, detections, and policy, applying IaC and CI/CD to security programs while influencing adoption through collaboration and impact.

Qualifications

• Hands-on endpoint security engineering across macOS, Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS with deployment tooling.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting; build integrations and automation.
• Experience in identity and access management, SaaS security, and zero-trust models.
• Threat-modeling and defining scope, done criteria, and delivery.
• Strong alignment with Anthropic's mission and corporate security role.

Responsibilities

• Drive endpoint hardening across multiple OS platforms with versioned, repeatable controls.
• Extend zero-trust access controls; ensure devices/users have appropriate access.
• Build automation and integrations to scale security operations and review queues.
• Lead SaaS and identity governance, including OAuth grants and delegated access.
• Collaborate across Security, IT, and Engineering on telemetry and standards.
