Job summary

K&L Gates seeks a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and enhance security for cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments. The role provides senior expertise in security engineering, detection engineering, automation, and incident response using AI-driven tools.

Responsibilities include developing detections, reducing manual work through automation, and guiding security architecture across the firm. Strong Microsoft security platform experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and maturing enterprise security, cloud security, and DevSecOps capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; information security emphasis preferred.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts, encryption, identity security, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support DevSecOps practices across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Develop scalable automation and orchestration to improve security operations and reduce manual effort.
• Create automation using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and cloud-native technologies.
• Implement and optimize Azure security controls and data protection capabilities.
• Lead or support complex investigations, threat hunting, and major incident response efforts.
• Develop and maintain security detections, analytics, and threat monitoring.
