Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to advance security in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will lead DevSecOps practices, develop automation, and implement Azure security controls while guiding threat detection and incident response efforts.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in cybersecurity, strong cloud security expertise, and experience with SIEM/EDR tools. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership responsibilities in a global law

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information security or related field.
• Understanding of Zero Trust, encryption, identity security, and data protection concepts.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/XDR, cloud security, and enterprise security monitoring.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related roles.
• Experience in a SOC environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support DevSecOps practices.
• Design and enhance security solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Develop scalable automation to improve security operations and reduce manual effort.
• Create automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and cloud-native tools.
• Implement and optimize Azure security controls, identity protections, and data security capabilities.
• Lead or support complex investigations, threat hunting, and incident response efforts.
• Develop detections, analytics, and threat monitoring capabilities.
