Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen security controls across the organization. You will work with multiple teams to review designs, automate security workflows in Python, and lead vulnerability management across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role includes participating in audits and on-call rotations. Candidates should have strong Kubernetes experience, scripting skills, and familiarity with security standards (CIS, NIST, OWASP).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering, focusing on infrastructure, application and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes (K8s) and container platforms in production.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Terraform or similar).
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience building and maintaining security systems in Cloud and on-prem environments.
• Hands-on experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication, log management, content filtering).
• Experience with network security and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of security principles and guidelines (CIS benchmarks, NIST, OWASP).
• Familiarity with web technologies and network/web protocols.
• Travel within the US may be required.
• BS degree in CS or related field.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, OSCP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to promote security controls through architectural reviews.
• Review system designs to assess security posture and advise on architecture changes.
• Develop automation and tooling in Python to integrate security systems.
• Lead vulnerability scanning across networks, containers, and cloud environments.
• Contribute to security policy documentation and procedures.
• Support external audits with security perspectives and evidence.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
