Job summary

Clean Power Alliance is seeking an Engineer, Cloud Security to lead cybersecurity architecture and operations across the Microsoft ecosystem. The role balances security with usability and operational efficiency in a critical infrastructure setting.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and operate security controls,guiding identity, endpoints, cloud security, and data protection while ensuring NIST-based compliance and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/IS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity/cloud security/enterprise IT security.
• Certifications in security (e.g., SC-100/200/300, AZ-500, CISSP, CISM, GIAC) or plan to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Experience in regulated industries (energy/utilities) and startup environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and administer security solutions across Microsoft platforms including Entra ID, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, and Purview.
• Lead identity governance, conditional access, endpoint protection, and cloud security posture management.
• Direct threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring; develop playbooks and automation.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and roadmaps; coordinate with auditors and risk stakeholders.
• Advise on cybersecurity risks and collaborate with Marketing to secure public-facing web properties; audit support.
