Job summary

Circle is building an advanced Security Detection & Response program across cloud, blockchain, and AI surfaces. You will lead projects, implement detection strategies, and improve incident response while collaborating with multiple Circle teams.

The role emphasizes on-call duties, supporting security operations during working hours and occasional nights/weekends, with a focus on strong response and insider risk awareness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in detection, response, or security engineering.
• 3+ years commanding security incidents, especially with engineering.
• Deep cloud security knowledge in AWS, IAM, EKS, and related tooling.
• Experience defending blockchain, custody, or DeFi infra.
• Hands-on with AI tooling to address threats and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and deliverables of the security program across Circle teams.
• Proactively identify and respond to threats across cloud, blockchain, and AI surfaces.
• Develop detection coverage for AWS + EKS and on-chain activities.
• Lead incident response and collaborate across teams to resolve issues.
• Provide security guidance to the entire organization.
• Take on-call shifts and support security operations during off-hours.
