Circle is seeking a Principal Security Engineering professional to protect our platform across blockchain, cloud, and AI surfaces. You’ll lead critical detection and response projects, shaping the security program for a rapidly evolving crypto-enabled ecosystem.

Expect on-call duties, collaboration with engineering teams, and hands-on work with SIEM, SOAR, and cloud security tooling. This role requires deep experience and a proactive, engineering-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in detection, response or security engineering.
• 3+ years leading security incidents with engineering teams.
• Deep cloud security knowledge in AWS (IAM, KMS, EKS).
• Experience with blockchain/crypto threats is preferred.
• Hands-on with AI tooling to address threats.
• Knowledge of SIEM, Case Management, and SOAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead security projects and deliverables across Circle teams.
• Build detection coverage across blockchain, cloud, and AI surfaces.
• Develop detections as code and incident response workflows.
• Manage on-call duties and incident response.
• Collaborate to improve SIEM and Orchestration platforms.
• Provide security guidance across the organization.
• Support threat modeling, vulnerability scans, audits.
