Job summary

VulnCheck Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to embed security into platform development, partnering with engineering on design reviews, threat modeling, and automation to scale security across the environment.

You will focus on IAM, IaC, Kubernetes/EKS hardening, incident response, and building self-service tooling. This role requires 5+ years of security engineering and strong AWS security experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering with AWS and IaC focus.
• Strong Kubernetes/EKS security including RBAC, policies, image scanning.
• Experience building automation and self-service tooling for security at scale.
• Proficient with Go (Golang) and collaborating with software engineers.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 programs and identity providers (Google Workspace).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering on design reviews and threat modeling.
• Review and harden IaC across cloud environments (EKS, Aurora, OpenSearch, S3, IAM).
• Lead least-privilege IAM decomposition and adopt stronger identity patterns.
• Build automation to turn detection, response, and compliance work into repeatable processes.
