Job summary

Sigma Computing in New York City or San Francisco is seeking a highly technical Senior Security Engineer to design and scale security capabilities for our cloud-native SaaS platform. This hands-on role emphasizes AI security, automation, and building internal tooling at scale.

You will lead security engineering across cloud, identity, and SaaS environments, develop detections-as-code, and partner with product and engineering teams to enable safe AI innovation while improving incident response

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Cyber Security or similar fields.
• Strong software engineering mindset with production-grade tooling and automation.
• Proven ability to build internal solutions and leverage AI to transform security operations.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments and cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security platforms, services, APIs, automation, and internal tooling.
• Develop detections-as-code and scalable security services across cloud, identity, and SaaS environments.
• Lead AI/LLM security, guardrails, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enable secure AI innovation.
