Job summary

Sigma Computing seeks a Senior Security Engineer focused on data security, located in New York City or San Francisco with four in‑office days. You will design, build, and operate security platforms protecting Sigma's data across cloud, SaaS, endpoint, and analytics environments.

You will drive data discovery, classification, governance, access controls, and DLP/DSPM/SSPM programs, integrating AI and automation to scale protections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Strong software engineering mindset; production‑grade tooling.
• Experience securing SaaS, cloud, endpoints, and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security platforms, APIs, automation, and tooling protecting Sigma's data across cloud, SaaS, endpoint, and analytics environments.
• Develop scalable data discovery, classification, governance, access controls, monitoring, and protection using modern engineering practices and automation.
• Build and mature DLP, DSPM, SSPM, insider risk, and data access governance capabilities to reduce unauthorized data exposure.
• Drive automation across DLP engineering and operations using AI and automation‑first mindset to scale protection coverage.
• Design and implement security controls for SaaS apps, collaboration platforms, endpoints, and business‑critical services.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, and Business teams to securely enable productivity while maintaining data protection.
