Job summary

Sigma is seeking a highly technical Senior Security Engineer who builds security platforms, automation, and internal tools for a cloud-native SaaS environment. You’ll work across AI security, detection engineering, and scalable security operations in a hands-on role.

Location is San Francisco or New York with a hybrid schedule; you will design, implement, and scale security controls across AI applications, cloud services, identity, and SaaS workloads to help move fast securely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field.
• Strong software engineering mindset with production-grade tools, automation, and security platforms.
• Proven ability to build versus buy and create scalable internal solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security platforms, services, APIs, automation, and internal tooling.
• Develop solutions for Cloud vulnerability management, Network Security, Detection engineering, Incident response, access governance, and security operations.
• Use software engineering principles to build detections-as-code, security workflows, internal platforms, and scalable security services.
• Leverage AI extensively to accelerate investigations, automate workflows, improve decision making, and reduce operational overhead.
• Design and implement security controls for AI applications, LLM-powered services, agents, and AI development workflows.
