American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead the design, testing, and maintenance of security products across cloud and on-premises environments. You will manage incident response, risk assessments, and forensic investigations while shaping the IT Security Framework.

The role emphasizes cloud risk management, vulnerability scanning, and security governance to protect company assets and data. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/InfoSec or related field preferred.
• 6+ years in IT Security & 3+ years in Cloud Technologies.
• Experience with SIEM solutions and security incident management.

Responsibilities

• Research, test, implement, optimize security products and services.
• Design and implement secure OS, networks, and databases.
• Lead incident management, threat hunting, and risk reporting.
• Develop dashboards and risk management metrics.

Responsibilities include cloud security and cloud risk management. Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and databases. Conducts password audits, network based and web application-based vulnerability scanning, virus management, and intrusion detection. Manages risk audits and assessments and provides recommendations for application design. Monitors and analyzes system access logs. Plans for security backup and system disaster recovery. Manages projects/processes, coaches, and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.Responsibilities:Researches, tests, implements, optimizes, and maintains new security products and services to address future and current threats supported by effective change management. Defines security controls and best practices.Develops, maintains, and supports processes to support the IT Security Framework such as incident management, cloud risk management, and cloud security.Acts as an escalation path to Security issues and leads forensic investigations.Identifies and investigates actual or potential information security violations. Performs follow up investigations with written reports and root cause analysis.Participates in application and infrastructure projects to provide security planning and implementation.Develops dashboards and metrics that includes incident reporting and risk management reporting.Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, and/or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum six (6) years of experience in IT SecurityMinimum three (3) years of experience in Cloud TechnologiesExperience in managing SIEM solutionsExperience in endpoint and email security solutionsExperience in Security incident management and reportingAdvanced knowledge of networking/web, phishing/cyberattacks, and incident responseCISSP, SecurityX (CASP+), or GCIH preferredExcellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong time and ticket management skillsCompensationThe anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $105,322.00 to $131,652.00 Annually.
