Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking an Architect III to lead security architecture across applications, data, cloud, and AI platforms. You will define standards, reference architectures, and patterns that enable secure, scalable technology adoption in a regulated banking environment.

You will partner with engineering teams to embed security in DevSecOps and CI/CD, mentor senior engineers, and drive risk-aware design decisions while staying ahead of evolving threats and AI governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security including architecture leadership and hands-on engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and security standards within Financial Services.
• Expertise in architecture patterns, governance, and DevSecOps integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive security architecture standards, reference architectures, and design patterns across applications, data, cloud, and AI platforms.
• Lead information security architecture with focus on application, data, and AI security across enterprise platforms.
• Advise on threat modeling, risk assessment, and architectural trade-offs for secure delivery.
• Partner with engineering to embed security into DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC pipelines.
• Track emerging threats and guide governance practices to stay current.
