Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking an Architect III - Security Domain Architect to lead security architecture across applications, data, cloud, and AI platforms in a Dallas/TX environment. You will define standards, drive governance, and partner with engineering to embed security into DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.

You will operate in a high-impact role with 10+ years in information security, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, data protection, and AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information security with leadership in architecture and 5+ years hands-on engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience with Financial Services regulatory obligations and compliance.
• Advanced architecture experience with reference architectures, patterns, and governance.
• Strong DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and IaC experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a security SME across enterprise architecture and drive secure design principles.
• Lead security architecture for applications, data, and AI platforms; govern security controls.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into DevSecOps and cloud platforms.
• Track threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends to keep security strategies current.
• Provide guidance on threat modeling, risk assessment, and architecture trade-offs.
