Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Consultant to provide end-to-end support across Akamai's product suites and to help customers leverage Akamai's security and delivery platforms to meet their internet strategies.

You will be the security contact, acting as a trusted consultant to implement creative solutions and ensure customer success across global deployments.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in IT or security consulting.
• Customer-facing role experience in information technology.
• Understanding of network technologies, web security or related media technologies.
• Ability to engage, influence, and build trusted customer relationships in complex environments.
• Experience delivering technical projects while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong team collaboration and adaptability in fast-changing environments.

You'll be the security contact, ensuring the integration and support of customers. Acting as a trusted consultant, you'll learn and implement creative solutions helping customers leverage Akamai's products.

As a Senior Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Being the central point of contact for customers and leading the integrated account team delivering customer success
• Partnering with the business to review and ensure integration efficiency, high quality service and keep customers engaged
• Identifying service enhancements and potential problems to ensure continuous improvements to quality of customer service delivery
• Communicating with internal, external customers and partners to share information and deliverables

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the information technology industry
• Show understanding of working with network technologies, web security or media related technologies, methodologies and/or architectures
• Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships with customers in difficult environments
• Demonstrate experience in delivering technical projects with an ability to manage multiple priorities
• Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from CA$109,900 - CA$197,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
